He passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 3, 2013 at the age of 70 years, 3 months & 10 days. Eugene had been a resident of Essie for the past 20 years had also lived in Dayton, Ohio. By occupation Eugene was a former crane operator for IDS & reitred from GH&R Foundry in Dayton, Ohio. He was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church at Stinnett, KY., Eugene enjoyed being in the lives of his children & grandchildren, fishing, 4-wheeling & gardening. Eugene Holland was preceded in death by his Parents: Haywood & Eliza Holland, Son: Wayne Holland & Brothers: Dan & Woodrow Holland He leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving & devoted Wife: Doris Bowling Holland of Essie, KY., Daughters: Eugenia Matheney of Essie, KY., Delone Taylor & Daniel of Essie, KY., Son: Jeffery Holland & Maxine of Somerset, KY., Brothers: Winfred Holland & Norita of Dayton, Ohio, Glen Holland of Essie, KY. Sister: Francis Sizemore & Elmer Ray of Seymour, Indiana, Hattie Marcum & Tommy of Englewood, Ohio, Grandchildren: Ashley Hanahan & Bobby, Brittany McIntosh & Robert, Nathaniel Taylor, Jeffery Holland & Courtney Taylor & Great-Grandchildren: Chase Hanahan, Chance Hanahan, Aubree McIntosh, Andriana McIntosh, Akira McIntosh & Mark Rose.
