Steve Wilson Mr. George Earl Napier "Pokey" born April 6, 1965 departed this life on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, West Virginia. He was 45 years old. George Earl was born at Harlan, Ky., the son of Earl Napier and the late Elaine Wilson Napier. George Earl was a coal truck driver & logger. He was affiliated with the New Hope Community Church, Warbranch, Ky. George Earl enjoyed horses, horseback riding, attending horse shows, watching westerns, U.K. Basketball, & most importantly spending time with family and friends. George Earl was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at 1310 Highway 2058 at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his mother: Elaine Napier Wilson, Brother: Darrell K. Napier, Nephew: Hobert Darrell Napier, Grandparents: George Napier, Viola Gross, Gorman Wilson & Sudie Wilson. Mr. George Earl Napier "Pokey" leaves the following relatives surviving: Father: Earl Napier of Helton, Ky., his loving and devoted fiance and companion: Barbara Jean Shanks of Helton, Ky., one son: Waylon Robert Earl Napier of Helton, Ky., one brother: Ronnie Napier & wife, Freda, Bledsoe, Ky., one sister: Marina Howard & husband, Elisha Todd of Helton, Ky., nieces: Amy Hubbard, Ashley Napier, Jessica Napier, Brandi Maggard, Rachel Howard, & Anna Hutchinson, Nephews: Keith Napier, Andrew Napier, Levi Napier, Ethan Howard, John Hutchinson, Great nieces and nephews: Kobe Lawson, Kaitlyn Hubbard, Jonathan Hubbard, Abigail Hubbard, & Christian Hoskins, along with a host of other treasured relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mr. George Earl Napier " Pokey" will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. - Monday - November 1, 2010 at the New Hope Community Church, Warbranch, Ky. with Rev. Reed Brock, Rev. Denver Brock, Rev. Ted Brock, & Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. The interment will follow in the Wilson - Napier Family Cemetery, located at Helton, Ky. Friends may call for visitation at the church after 4:00 P.M. - Sunday - October 31, 2010 at the New Hope Community Church, Warbranch, Ky.
