Jerry Holland Mrs. Gladys Widner McBride born May 10, 1949 departed this life on October 29, 2010 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital, Harlan, Ky. She was 61 years old. Gladys was born at Hyden, Ky., the daughter of the late James Widner & Ora Sizemore Widner. Gladys was a homemaker & had been a resident of Cumberland, Ky., for the past 15 years. She moved to Cumberland, Ky. from Cincinnati, Ohio. Gladys enjoyed collecting angels & other "what nots" Gladys greatest pleasure derived from being involved in the lives of her children & grandchildren. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Dale Widner, one brother: Rocky Widner, one sister-in-law: Jacqueline "Jackie" Widner. Mrs. Gladys Widner McBride leaves the following relatives surviving: her loving & devoted husband: Carl McBride of Cumberland, Ky., two sons: Paul Widner and wife, Jennifer of Hyden, Ky., Anthony Wayne McBride and wife, Karen of Cumberland, Ky., one daughter: Earlinn McBride of Big Stone Gap, Virginia, six brothers: George Widner & wife, Gracie of Tennessee, Lloyd Widner of Hyden, Ky., Eddie Wayne Widner & wife, Elizabeth of Cincinnati, Ohio, Harold Widner & wife, Ronnie, of Rogersville, Tennessee, Johnny Widner of Hyden, Ky., Taylor Widner of Hyden, Ky., one sister: Anna Wilder of Hyden, Ky., 3 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, three special nieces: Melissa Wilder, Nuggett Widner, Georgegeonea Widner, special nephews: Russell Widner & William Widner, along with a host of other treasured relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Gladys Widner McBride will be conducted 2:00 p.m. - Tuesday- November 2, 2010 at the Couch's Fork Church of God, Bear Branch, Ky., with Rev. Kevin Napier & Rev. Jerry Holland officiating. The interment will follow at the Widner & Burns Family Cemetery, Hyden, Ky. Friends may call for visitation after 6:00 P.M. - Sunday-October 31, 2010 at the Couch's Fork Church of God, Bear Branch, Ky., all day Monday - until the funeral at 2:00 p.m - Tuesday.
