The obituary of Mrs. Polly Asher Dixon Officiating Minister: Rev. Ronnie Melton Mrs. Polly Asher Dixon born February 23, 1922 departed this life on August 13, 2008 at the age of 86 years, 5 months and 19 days old. She was born at Dryhill, Kentucky the daughter of the late Pleasie Asher and the late Nellie North Asher. By occupation Polly was a sales clerk and had been employed by Dawahares and Wise Dept. Store. Polly was a member of the Muncy's Creek Baptist Church and had been a member of the Easter Star and Silver Bow Chapter. Polly was preceded in death by her parents: Pleasie & Nellie Asher; husband: Aubrey Dixon; one daughter: Jean Watson; six brothers: Johnny Asher, Frank Asher, Shelby Asher, Robert Asher, Earl Asher and Mack Mosley; two grandsons; Jack Watson and Robert Watson; one granddaughter: Tanya Dixon. She leaves surviving the following relatives: Two sons: Phillip Dixon & Wilanna of Lawrenceburg, KY, Dan R. Dixon & Reva of Indianapolis, IN; one brother: Don Mosley & Glenna of OH; seven grandchildren: Polly, Teresa, Becky, Debbie, Tina, Wendy & Tracy, 12 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Polly Asher Dixon will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday - August 16, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Melton officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-9 p.m. Friday - August 15, 2008 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will take place at the Begley-Morgan Cemetery located at Hyden, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff.
