Fields Conway born December 15, 1936 departed this life on July 7, 2009 at the Hyden Nursing Home. She was 72 years, 6 months, & 22 days old. Tabatha was born at Hyden, Ky., the daughter of Eliza Young & the late Green Monroe Fields. Tabatha served honorably in the U.S. Army. She was a former employee of Maloney's & Food Fair. Tabatha also had a passion for a writing. She was the author of Teaberry Sprigs & Mountain Laurel & wrote a weekly article for the Leslie County News with the same title. Tabatha collected Red Bird & Cardinal portraits as a hobby. Tabatha was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Mr. Billy Fields, & her step-father, Mr. Marcus Asher, Mrs. Tabatha "Tab" Fields Conway leaves the following relatives surviving: her devoted husband, William "Bill" L. Conway of Hyden, Ky., her loving mother, Eliza Asher of Hyden, Ky., one daughter, Summer R. Poupore & husband, David, of Franklinville, North Carolina, one sister, Ruth Turner of Corbin, Ky., & a host of other treasured relatives and friends. The funeral service for Mrs. Tabatha "Tab" L. Fields Conway will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. - Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Ky., with Rev. Roger Wolfe officiating, with full military rites observed by the Leslie Co. D.A.V. Chapter # 133. Friends may call for visitation from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. -Thursday - July 9, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home. The interment service for Mrs. Tabatha "Tab" L. Fields Conway will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. - Monday - July 13, 2009 at Camp Nelson Government Cemetery, Nicholasville, Ky. with full military rites, also.
