Viola Howard

The obituary of Viola Howard Officiating ministers: Keith Bowling & Roger Wolfe Mrs. Viola Howard born August 11, 1921 departed this life on March 20, 2010 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital, Hyden, Ky. She was 88 years old. Viola was born in Leslie County the daughter of the late Sherman Farler and the late Ida Adams Farler. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Viola was a member of the Church of God and she enjoyed quilting as a hobby. She was preceded in death by her parents Sherman & Ida Farler, her husband Bill Howard, three brothers: Ben farler, Tommy Farler and Charlie Farler, two sisters: Cassie Howard and Susanne Adams, one special aunt: Fannie Adams. She leaves surviving the following relatives: one son: Vernon Andrew Howard of Wendover, Ky., six daughters: Violet Feltner & David of Hyden, KY, Vicki Huff of Elizabethtown, KY, Velma Horn & David of Elizabethtown, KY, Vera Davidson & James of Hyden, Ky, Verna Chappell & Harold of London, KY and Vivian Phillips & Charlie of Senora, Ky, two sisters: Mary Howard of Wendover, Ky and Lula Howard of Jackson County, KY. Viola is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Viola Howard will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday-March 22, 2010 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Bowling & Roger Wolfe officiating. The interment will follow in the Singleton Cemetery at Wendover, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home. The following will serve as pallbearers: Jonathan Howard, James Campbell, David Feltner, Timothy Feltner, Marty Davidson, Kenny Davidson, Ryan Davidson,Andrei Shliakhau, Doyle Howard, Christopher Horn, Shannon Perry, Sean Perry, Cody Gault & Aaron Greenwell.Friends may call for visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. Sunday March 21, 2010 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel.
