Teddy Couch Herbert Jr. Woods was born on November 14, 1951 in Hyden, Ky., the Son of the late Wallace & Ora Osborne Woods. He passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at the Manchester Memorial Hospital, Manchester, Ky. at the age of 59 years, 10 months & 21 days. He had been a resident of Manchester for the past 26 years coming from Leslie Co. By occupation he was a former coal miner. He enjoyed car restoration & repairs. Herbert Jr., was affiliated with the Holiness Church. Herbert Jr. Woods was Preceded in Death by his Parents; one Sister: Ann Jones; one Brother: Raymond Salyers; two Nephews: E.C. Salyers & Dennis Collins and one Sister-In-Law: Lula Salyers. He leaves the following relatives surviving: Wife: Sophia B. Woods of Manchester, KY.; one Son: Danny Woods & Gerri Anna of East Bernstandt, KY.; one Daughter: Jessica Woods Gray of London, KY.; four Brothers: Estil Lee Woods & Carol Sue of Stinnett, KY., Roscoe Salyers of Bear Branch, KY., Billy Ray Salyers & Wilma of Hyden, KY. & John Salyers of Bear Branch, Ky.; six Sisters: Alice Brown & Carl of Oneida, Ky., Margaret Smallwood & Virgil of Big Stone Gap, Va., Francine Caldwell & Boone of Hyden, KY., Janie Collins & Jasper of Ohio, Ruth Collins & Clyde of Hyden, KY. & Selena Farmer of Hyden, KY.; one Grand-Daughter: Harley Danyelle Woods; Also a host of Nieces, Nephews, Other Relatives & Friends survive. Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hals Fork Pentecostal Church at Bear Branch, Ky. with Rev. Jerry Holland, Rev. Carl Brown, Rev. James Bowling, Jr. & Rev. Teddy Couch officiating. The interment will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery at Bear Branch, KY. the following will serve as Pallbearers: Adam Woods, Carl Brown, Jr., Joey Salyers, Tracy Lee Smallwood, Terry Salyers, Anthony Brown, Tyrone Salyers, Brian Couch & Mike Lay. Visitation will begin on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hals Fork Pentecostal until time of funeral on Sunday.
