The obituary of Mr. Morgan Gross Officiating Ministers: Harold Turner and Mack Lewis Mr. Morgan Gross born February 17, 1924 departed this life on August 16, 2008 at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 30 days old. He was bornat Yeaddiss, Kentucky the son of the late Dewey Gross and the late Rebecca Pennington Gross. By occupation he was a retired coal miner and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. He was a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, and had been a member of the Church of Christ. Morgan enjoyed gardening and feeding hummingbirds as hobbies. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dewey & Rebecca Gross: two brothers: Willard & Henry P. Gross, one sister: Parley Gross. Mr. Morgan Gross leaves surviving the following relatives, wife: Daisy Turner Gross of Yeaddiss, KY; three sons: Wayne Boggs and Tammy of Jeff, KY; Morgan Gross, Jr. & Chriselda of Brownsville, TX; Matt Gross & Lorene of Yeaddiss, KY; one daughter: Hazel Brown & Edward of Yeaddiss, KY; two brothers: Johnie Gross & Lillian Ruth of Yeaddiss, KY; Chrisley Gross & Irene of Smilax, KY; five sisters: Mallie Pennington of Yeaddiss, KY; Jane Harris & Bob of Indiana; Jewell Mobley & Bill of Indiana; Alice Woods of Indiana; Mary Sue Baker & Ernest of Smilax, KY; ten grandchildren: Morgan Lee, Kendall, Daniel, Carissa, Jeffery Wayne, Cynthia, Steven, Katie, Drake, David; one great grandchild: Morgan Elizabeth, & beloved special friends: Roger & Carolyn Wells. Also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Morgan Gross will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday-August 20, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Turner and Mack Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Hurricane Cemetery, under the direction of the funeral home staff. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday- August 19, 2008 at the funeral home chapel.
