Billy Joe Lewis Mrs. Nancy Miniard Harris born June 30, 1941 departed this life on October 30, 2009 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital, Hyden, Ky. She was 68 years old. Nancy was born at Yeaddiss, Ky., the daughter of the late Willard Miniard & Elizabeth Shell Miniard. Nancy was a homemaker & member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Ky. She enjoyed gardening, going to church, & especially being involved in the lives of her children & grandchildren. Nancy was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., residing at 14434 Cutshin Road, Yeaddiss, Ky., at the time of her death. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Logan Harris, Sr., one daughter: Patricia, three sisters: Cindy Adams, Marjorine Harris, Kathleen Fields, & two brothers: Hobert & Henderson Miniard. Mrs. Nancy Miniard Harris leaves the following relatives surviving: five daughters: Connie Shepherd & husband, Alan, of London, Ky., Brenda Douglas and husband, Patrick, of Georgetown, Ky., Ruth Houp & husband, Gary, of Nicholasville, Ky., Shirley Grant & Bruce of Mississippi, Helen Shemiah & husband, Michael, of Lexington, Ky., one son: Logan Harris, Jr. & wife, Margaret of Stoney Fork, Ky., a special friend: Jeff Burkhart, three brothers: John H. Miniard & wife, Carrie, of Yeaddiss, Ky., Roscoe Miniard & wife, Inettie, of Yeaddiss, Ky., Willard Miniard, Jr. & wife, Annette, one sister: Oma Brown & husband, Ellis, of Bledsoe, Ky., twelve grandchildren: Madison, Jacob, Heather, Jessica, Dwayne, Jason, Jamie, Victor, Jonathon, Free, Faith, Christopher, one great grandchild: Savannah, & a host of other treasured relatives and friends to mourn her death. The funeral service for Mrs. Nancy Miniard Harris will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. - Monday - November 2, 2009 at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Ky., with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. The interment will follow at the Miniard Family Cemetery at Mudlick, Yeaddiss, Ky. Friends may call for visitation at 6:00 p.m.- Sunday - November 1, 2009 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Ky., and from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. - Monday at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ, Smilax, Ky. The following will serve as pallbearers: Alan Shepherd, Patrick Douglas, Mark Jackson, Jacob Hensley, Willard Jr. Miniard, & Jeff Burkhart.
