The Obituary for Viona Brock Whitehead Officiating Minister: Eugene Roberts & Dwight Brock Viona Brock Whitehead was born on November 22, 1923,at Marrowbone, Ky., the daughter of the late, Jack & Annie Gross Brock. She passed on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden, Ky. at the age of 87 years, 4 months & 16 days. Viona was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., she was a homemaker. She enjoyed flowers, gardening & her pets. Viona Brock Whitehead was preceded in death by her parents: Jack & Annie Gross Brock, her husband: Tinsley Whitehead, Sr., 3 brothers: Willie, Ray & Simon & 1 sister: Phoebe Madden She leaves the following relatives surviving: 3 sons: Ronnie Whitehead of Hoskinston, Ky., Lester Whitehead of Bledsoe, KY. & Tinsley Whitehead, Jr. of Bledose, Ky., 6 daughters: Shirley Brock of Warbranch, KY., Patricia Nantz of Warbranch, KY., Heddie Faye Simpson of Hoskinston, Ky., Goldie Simpson of Warbranch, KY., Juanita Soto of Lawerenceburg, Indiana & Omeda Holland of Asher, KY., 2 sisters: Goldie & Polly & a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church at Asher, Ky., with Eugene Roberts & Dwight Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the Brock Cemetery located at (Marrowbone),Warbranch, KY. Visitation will be on Saturday at 6:00 P.M. at the Church.
