She passed away on June 04, 2008 at the age of 95 years, 6 months, and 27 days. She was born at Camp Creek, KY the daughter of the late Leonard Witt and the late Laura Cornett Witt. By occupation she was a hairdresser and owner of the Blue Bonnet Beauty Shop, and had worked there for 60+ years. She was a homemaker and primarily enjoyed cooking as a hobby, and had been a lifelong resident of Leslie County. Mrs. Daisy Roberts was a member of the Hyden Church of God. She was preceded in death by her parents: Leonard & Laura Witt; husband: Joe Roberts; one brother: Delmar Witt; one granddaughter-in-law: Velma Roberts; one very close friend: Goldie Davidson. She leaves surviving the following relatives: one son: Leonard Roberts of Hyden, Kentucky. Three grandchildren: Joe Ray Roberts & Carmen of Hazard, Kentucky; Lesia Kaye Lovvorn & Carlos of Murphysboro, Tennessee; Theresa Lee Joseph & Jesse of Hyden, Kentucky. Five great grandchildren: Christopher Joseph Roberts of Hyden, Kentucky; James Leonard Couch & Jami Lynn of Murphysboro, Tennessee; Richard Kyle Roberts of Hyden, Kentucky; Matthew Jessen Joseph of Hyden, Kentucky; Chase Lovvorn of Murphysboro, Tennessee. Also survived by host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services for Mrs. Daisy Roberts will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday June 6, 2008 at the Joe Roberts Cemetery at Hyden, KY with Wayne Bowling and Jesse Joseph officiating.
