Robert Lee Hacker William Craig Melton Mr. James Lindberg " Hiram" Walker born on June 10, 1927 departed this life on January 5, 2009 at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 26 days old. He was born at Hazard, Kentucky the son of the late Russell Walker and the late Ollie Blanton. By occupation James was a retired coal miner and had been employed by Debbie Coal Company. He was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. James was affiliated with the Church of Christ and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County. James enjoyed gardening, woodcrafts and was a avid gun smith. He was preceded in death by his parents: Russell and Ollie Walker; wife: Aulty Morgan Walker; four brothers: Paul, Bob, Millard and Woodrow; one sister: Florence. He leaves surviving the following relatives: one Son: Robert Walker & wife Tina of Manchester, Ky; two daughters: Teresa Wilder & husband Eddy of Stinnett, KY, Sherry Hayes & husband Hobert of Wendover, KY; one brother: J.C. Walker of Hyden, KY; two sisters: Mary Costello of Breathitt County, Ky and Martha Brown of Ohio. seven grandchildren: Eddy Dean Wilder, Jr, & Renne, Johnathan Scott Wilder, Eric James Wilder, Ashley Rena Hayes, Sarah Katherine Elizabeth Hayes, Brittany Ciara Walker, Kristen Caroline Aulty Walker. Mr. James Lindberg Walker was also survived by a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. James Lindberg "Hiram" Walker will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Thursday - January 8, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel at Hyden, KY, with Rev. Robert Lee Hacker and William Craig Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bray Cemetery at Stinnett, KY.
