The Obituary for Mrs. Jessie Baker Whitehead Officiating Ministers: Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Wayne Baker, Rachel Davison & Janet Morgan (eulogy) Jessie Baker Whitehead was born on February 9, 1923 at Stinnett, KY., the daughter of the late Brett & Lida Bowling Baker. She passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Hazard Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY., at the age of 88 years, 8 month & 24 days. Jessie was a life-long resident of Stinnett, KY. She was a member of the Stinnett Pentecostal Church at Stinnett, KY. & also the Christian Missionary Alliance Church at Essie, KY., She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading her Bible & making lye soap. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Joe Whitehead, 2 sons: Earl & Harold Whitehead & 1 grandson: Jamie Collett. She leaves the following relatives surviving: 1 son: Rick Whitehead & Diane of Stinnett, KY., 6 daughters: Wanda Morgan & Rubble of Stinnett, KY., Joline Hacker & Walter of Shepherdsville, KY., Velma Roberts & Farmer of Stinnett, KY., Brenda Collett & Larry of Stinnett, KY., Vickie Foster & Randy of Stinnett, KY. & Rita Bowling & Mikey Joe of Stinnett, KY., 2 brothers: Sam Baker of Ohio & James Baker & Lucille of London, KY., 4 sisters: Beulah Sizemore of Eubank, KY., Cora Johnson of Hyden, KY., Rowena Roberts & Earl of Stinnett, KY. & Edna Kemper & Harold of Hyden, KY., 21 grandchildren & a host of great & great-great-grandchildren, Part time care-givers: Pearl Roberts, Ann Hoskins & Shirley Lowe, also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. The family of Jessie Baker Whitehead would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere, heart-felt appreciation to the staff at the Hazard Hospice Care Center for the compassionate & professional care rendered to their mother. Funeral service will be on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 12:00 Noon at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church at Stinnett, KY. with Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Wayne Baker, Rachel Davison & Janet Morgan (Eulogy). Burial will follow in the Baker Family Cemetery at Stinnett, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Earl Akini Whitehead, Clifford Whitehead, Alvin Morgan, Gary Morgan, Tim Whitehead, Bryan Hacker, Billy Joe Whitehead, Gavin Roberts, Josh Collett, Ricky Whitehead, Brent Bowling & Brandon Bowling.
