The obituary for Mr. Milton Gay Officiating Minister: Rev. Clemmie Joseph Mr. Milton Gay was born on June 30, 1929 and departed this life on December 10, 2009 at the Mary Breckenridge Hospital at the age of 80 years old. Milton was the son of the late Hargis Gay and the late Eva Rice Gay. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a maintenance worker being employed by the Frontier Nursing Service. He was a member of the Baptist Faith Church. He enjoyed his animals; his dogs, cats & horses and spending time with his family. Milton was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Finley, Rufus, Bruce and Hargis, Jr.; three sisters: Annie Couch, Minnie Gay and Hallie Gay; one nephew: Sam Choate, Jr. He leaves the following relatives surviving: two sisters: Hannah Choate of Tennessee and Eileen Thomas of Yeaddiss, KY.; three nieces: Janet Turner of Wooton, KY., Cathy Barnes of Tennessee and Vicky Lynn Gross of Yeaddiss, KY.; eight nephews: James Thomas, Floyd Thomas and Monroe Thomas all of Yeaddiss, KY., Joe Smith and Jimmy Smith both of Saul, KY., Tommy Choate, Larry Choate and Russell Choate all of Tennessee; a host of other treasured relatives and friends also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Milton Gay will be conducted on Sunday - December 13, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Clemmie Joseph officiating. The interment will follow the funeral at the U.S. Government Cemetery at Saul, KY. Friends may call for visitation from 6-9 P.M. - Saturday - December 12, 2009 at the funeral home. The following will serve as pallbearers: Joe Smith, Jimmy Smith, Silas Smith, Thurmond Smith, James Thomas, Floyd Thomas and Monroe Thomas.
