The Obituary of Mr. Allen Adams, Jr. Officiating Ministers: Donnie Melton and Mack Lewis Mr. Allen Adams Jr. was born on February 22, 1947 in Hyden, KY. and passed away on Sunday ~ Sept. 30, 2012 at his residence in Russell Springs, Kentucky at the age of 65 years. Allen was the Son of the late Allen Adams, Sr. and Laura Quillion. By occupation he was a Retired Coal Miner. Allen also served honorably in the U.S. Army. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County with the exception of living in Russell Spring, KY. for the past 4 years. He enjoyed squirrel hunting and ginsenging as hobbies. He was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Allen Adams Sr. and Laura Quillion Adams; Sisters: Annette Adams and Jean Shell. Allen leaves the following relatives surviving: Mother of Children: Betty Adams; Sons: Marvin Adams & Carrie of Lexington, KY. and Richard Adams & Crystal of Essie, KY.; Daughters: Marie Barnes & Jack of Hollister, FL. and Laura Adams of Hyden, KY.; Brothers: Ralph Adams & Leila of Smilax, KY. and James Clinton Adams; Sister: Justine Winters & Donald of Owenton, KY.; Grandchildren: Amanda Johnson & Brandon, Jacie Adams, Wesley Adams, Christian Adams and Brooklyn Adams; Great-Grandson: Hunter Whitehead. Funeral services for Mr. Allen Adams, Jr. will be conducted on Thursday ~ Oct. 4, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home ~ Hyden, KY. with Donnie Melton and Mack Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Adams Family Cemetery in Smilax, KY. Full Military Rites will be observed by the Leslie Co. DAV Chapter #133.
