He passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in Freetown, Indiana at the age of 68 years, 8 months & 1 day. Jack had been a resident of Indiana for the past 44 years, prior to living in Leslie Co. By occupation he was a retired auto worker for (Cummins Diesel.)He was affliated with the Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed hunting & fishing and was an avid UK sports fan (especially basketball). Roy "Jack" Barger was preceded in death by his parents: Troy & Mae Bentley Barger, one sister: Bernice Lewis & one brother: Lee Barger. He leaves the following relatives surviving: son: Dean Barger of Austin, Ind, mother of son: Francena Fulkerson of Seymour, Ind.,five brothers: Hubert Barger & Rowena of Hyden, Ky., Eugene "Blue" Barger & Ruth of Hyden, KY., Audley William Barger of Hyden, KY.,Harold Barger & Florence of Hyden, Ky. & Boyd Barger of London, KY., three sisters: Pauline Morgan Carpenter & Wilbur of Hillsboro, Ohio, Betty Sue Barger Morgan & Mark of Dayton, Ohio & Lois Jean Dinka of Middletown, Ohio, three grandchildren: Dylan Barger, Deidre Barger & Jacob Barger & a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service for Roy "Jack" Barger will be conducted on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 12:00 Noon at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Barger-Bentley Family Cemetery at Hyden, KY. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at 6:00 P.M.at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel.
