The obituary of Orva Jean Napier Officiating Ministers: Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Rev. Ralph Brown and Rev. Daniel Sizemore Orva Jean Napier was born on March 11, 1938 and departed this life on October 7, 2009 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY at the age of 71 years, 6 months and 25 days. Orva was the daughter of the late Onzie Morgan and the late Fannie Roberts. Orva was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. By occupation she was a homemaker and a restaurant cook. She enjoyed cooking, canning, growing flowers and vegetable gardening. She was a member of the Red Bird Pentecostal House of Mercy. Orva Jean Napier was preceded in death by her parents; two sons: Norman Howard and Emmitt Napier, Jr.; one brother: Estil Morgan; two granddaughters: Sheila Michelle Napier and Deborah Leann Canada; one great-grandson: Christian Wade Nantz. She leaves the following relatives surviving: husband: Emmitt Napier, Sr. of Stinnett, KY.; two sons: Ricky Napier & daughter, Latoyia Marie of Asher, KY. and Kenneth Howard & Samantha of Stinnett, KY.; three daughters: Mary Collett & Roger of Stinnett, KY., Barbara Bowling & Kenny of Stinnett, KY. and Helen Hall & Bobby of Mozelle, KY.; one daughter-in-law whom she thought of as a daughter: Eva Napier of Stinnett, KY.; three sisters: Mabeline Morgan of Stinnett, KY., Lealo Napier of Hyden, KY. and Ethel Collett & John of Hazard, KY.; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Orva Jean Napier will be conducted on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Bowling Jr., Rev. Ralph Brown, & Rev. Daniel Sizemore officiating. The interment will follow in the Bowens Creek Cemetery in Essie, KY. Visitation will be on Friday, October 9, 2009 beginning at 6:00 P.M.
