The Obituary for Hoy Roberts Officiating Ministers: Rev. Geoffery Roberts, Rev.Mickey Roberts & Rev. Robert Spurlock Mr. Hoy Roberts was born on October 12, 1918 departed this life on September 10, 2013 at the Stone County Medical Center in Mountain View, Arkansas. He was 94 years old. Hoy was born at Stinnett, Ky., the son of the late John Roberts and Elizabeth Bray Roberts. Hoy was a retired carpenter & cabinet maker, having been employed by London - Myers Co. in Jacksonville, Illinois. He was a member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God, Stinnett, Ky. Hoy was a World War II Veteran, having served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He was a resident of Viola, Illinois for 48 years & was living in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the time of his death. Hoy enjoyed gardening, wood-working, hunting, & most importantly being involved in the lives of his family. Mr. Hoy Roberts was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife: Arra Irene Gross Roberts, a son: John Roberts, daughters: Mary Walls, Elizabeth Roberts, daughter-in-law: Elease Mosley, son-in-laws: Bill Goodwin, Tommy Walls, Lee Bowling, Seven brothers & six sisters. Mr. Hoy Roberts leaves the following relatives surviving: two sons: Paul Roberts & wife: Karen of Viola, Illinois, Phillip Mosley of Stinnett, Ky., two daughters: Brenda Goodwin of Mountain View, Arkansas, Vanda Bowling of Viola, Illinois, one brother: Floyd Roberts and wife: Rose Nell of Stinnett, Ky., a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren, other treasured relatives and friends.
