The Obituary for Golden Holland Officiating Ministers: Rev. Wayne Bowling & Rev. Kevin Napier Golden Holland was born on May 18, 1929 in Hyden, Kentucky, the son of the late Henry & Mandy Sizemore Holland. He passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden, Ky. at the age of 81 years, 9 months & 26 days. He was a life-long resident of Leslie Co.Golden was united in marriage to Mary Couch on July 31, 1948. By occupation he was a retired coal miner. He was a member of the Couch's Fork Church of God at Bear Branch, Ky. He enjoyed going to flea markets & tool collecting. Golden Holland was preceded in death by his parents,five brothers: Bige Holland Rob Holland, Charlie Holland, Felix Holland & Willie Hoskins. He leaves the following relatives surviving: his loving & devoted wife of 62 1/2 years: Mary Couch Holland of Bear Branch, KY., one daughter: Daisy Curry & Wayne of London, KY., one sister: Bertha Wagers of Manchester, KY., two grandchildren: Lana Smith & Eugene & Shannon Bundy, four great-grandchildren: Brandi Jones & Clayton, Lucas Bundy, David House & Mackenzie House & one great-great-grandson: Bradley Jones. Also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service will be on Saturday, March 19, 2011 @ 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Bowling & Rev. Kevin Napier officiating. Burial will follow in the Abe Couch Cemetery at Bear Branch, Ky., the following will serve as pallbearers: David House, Lucas Bundy, Eugene Smith, Jeff Couch, Donnie "Pepsi" Couch & Clayton Jones.
