Nancy Ann Steele

The Obituary for Mrs. Nancy Ann Steele Officiating Ministers: Rev. Chris Fugate, Rev. Merle Caudill & Rev. Greg Whitaker Mrs. Nancy Ann Steele, of 947 Ken Miller Farm, Hazard, Ky. (formerly of Hyden, KY.), passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 at her residence. Nancy was born in Hyden, KY. on April 26, 1928, the daughter of the late, Earl Steele & Verna Roberts Steele. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. with the exception of living in Hazard for the past few years. By occupation Nancy was a retired book-keeper for the Hyden Citizens Bank for 56 years. She had been a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Hyden, KY. for 73 years where she was a faithful & dedicated member, she served as an elder, trustee & sang in the choir, she also recently was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Hazard Ky. Nancy was very involved in volunteer work at Mary Breckinridge Hospital Auxillary & visited the Nursing Home often. She enjoyed being involved in the lives of her family, gardening, flowers, sewing, walking in the woods & reading. Mrs. Nancy Ann Steele was preceded in death by her parents: Earl Steele & Verna Roberts Steele & one daughter: Delores "Dee" Maggard. She leaves the following relatives surviving: a very special grand- daughter: Larissa Miller & Richy of Hazard, KY., one sister: Alice Schuler of Aurora, Indiana, special caregiver: Sharon Davis, 2 great-grandsons: Joshua & Caleb Miller, 4 step great-grandchildren: Zach Miller, Jacob Miller, Sarah Miller & Danielle Miller.
