Betty Helen was born at Dryhill, Ky.,the daughter of the late Wiley & Orpha Woods Keen. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation Betty was a Retired Elementary School Teacher for the Leslie Co. School System. She was a Devoted & Dedicated Member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Hyden, Ky. Betty was an avid U.K. Basketball fan. Betty Helen Keen was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Don Keen & Wiley Keen,Jr. & James Walker Keen 5 sisters: Edna Keen Melton, Polly Keen Combs, Anna Keen Witt, Nancy Keen Street & Wilma Keen & 1 Nephew: Ken Keen She leaves the following relatives surviving: 1 Niece: Deborah Keen Matthews of Bowling Green, Ky., 4 Nephews: Ronnie Witt of Hyden, Ky., Johnny Keen of Hyden,Ky., Don Chris Keen of Louisville & James Street of Richmond,Ky. A host of great & great-great nieces & nephews survive. Also a host of other relatives & wonderful friends. Funeral service for Betty Helen Keen will be conducted by the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Ky. on Monday, August 17, 2009 @ 2:00 P.M. at the Central Presbyterian Church, Hyden, Ky.with Rev. Wiley Scott Keen & Rev. Richard Guerrant officiating. Burial will follow in the Keen-Woods Family Cemetery at Dryhill, Ky.
