The Obituary of Mr. Lowell Thomas Officiating Minister: Russell Baker Mr. Lowell Thomas was born on September 14, 1939 & departed this life on July 12, 2012 at the age of 72 years. He was born at Wooton, KY the Son of Verna Mae Wells Thomas and the late Dave Thomas. By occupation he was a retired coal truck driver and had worked for Whitaker Coal Company. Lowell was a member of the Wooton Church of Christ and had been a lifelong resident of Leslie County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling as hobbies. He was preceded in death by his Father: Dave Thomas. Lowell leaves the following relatives surviving: Mother: Verna Mae Wells Thomas of Wooton, KY.; Wife: Maudie McFarland Thomas of Wooton, KY.; Son: Lowell Jr. Thomas & Lisa of Wooton, KY.; Daughter: Matilda Joseph & James of Wooton, KY.; Brothers: Leonard Thomas of Wooton, KY., David Thomas & Amanda of Neon, KY. and Larry Thomas & Karla of Ruby, SC.; Sister: Patsy Allen of Crestview, FL.; Grandchildren: Dylan Thomas and Mahayla Joseph; Special Ex-Daughter-In-Law: Michelle Thomas of Wooton, KY.; Special Friend: Jimmy Shepherd of Wooton, KY. He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Lowell Thomas will be conducted on Monday - July 16, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wooton Church of Christ with Russell Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning Cemetery at Wooton, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Dennis Sizemore, Everett Bradley, James Joseph and Andrew Weber.
