The obituary of Mrs. Mary Lorena Revis Officiating Ministers: Rev. Sill Lee, Rev. J. D. Hensley, Rev. Larry Stubblefield and Rev. Steve May Mrs. Mary Lorena Revis born February 2, 1929 departed this life on March 14, 2009 at her residence, at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 12 days old. She was born at Jamestown, Kentucky the daughter of the late P.I. Brummett and the late Sarah Bowling Brummett. By occupation Mary was a retired Cook from the Big Creek Elementary School at Big Creek (Clay County), Kentucky. She was also owner and operator of the Parkway Restaurant located at Big Creek, Kentucky. Mary enjoyed working outside in her flower and vegetable garden, she also loved to cook. She was a life-long resident of Clay County, Kentucky. Mary was preceded in death by her parents: P.I. & Sarah Brummett, and a host of brothers, she leaves surviving the following relatives: two sons: Gary Revis & Sharon of Redbird, KY, Jack Revis of Lexington, KY. one daughter: Sandra Wilder of Big Creek, KY, one sister: Shelia Roberts & Clinton of Big Creek, KY, four grandchildren: Rhoda Wagers & Adam of Big Creek, KY, Freddie Revis of London, Ky, Christopher Revis of Lexington, KY and David Revis & Ashley of Manchester, KY, special friends: Juanita Tyree, Effie Wilder and Ollie Couch. Mary leaves surviving a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lorena Revis will be held at 12:00 Noon-Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the Big Creek Holiness Church at Big Creek, Kentucky, with Rev. Sill Lee, Rev. J.D. Hensley, Rev. Larry Stubblefield and Rev. Steve May officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowling Cemetery at Big Creek, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. The following will serve as pallbearers: Freddie Revis, Shannon Finley, James Charles Maggard, Clinton Roberts, David Revis, and Adam Wagers.
