The Obituary of Mr. Johnny M. Bentley Officiating Ministers: Rev. Alfred Smith and Paul Baker Mr. Johnny M. Bentley was born on January 2, 1934 in Hyden, KY. and passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY. Johnny was 78 years of age at the time of his passing. He was the Son of the late Lucy Bentley. Johnny was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and a member of the Smith Camp Pentecostal Church in Wooton, KY. Johnny enjoyed playing guitar & music, listening to the radio and going to church. He was Preceded in Death by his: Mother: Lucy Bentley and Wife: Lucy Harris Bentley. Johnny leaves the following relatives surviving: Son: John Glenn Bentley of La Grange, KY.; Daughter: Geneva Cornett & Junior of Leatherwood, KY.; Brother: Billy Turner of Indianapolis, IN.; Very Special Sister & Caregiver: Betty Napier & husband, C.L. of Wooton, KY.; Sisters: Faye Baker of Wooton, KY., Barbara Sams & Jimmy of Wooton, KY. and Audrey Watts of Perry Co., KY.; Grandchildren: Kandi, Hobie, Glenalyn, John and Audrey; Great Grandchildren: Kranston, Kole, Bentley, Brae and Kyzer. Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Bentley will be conducted on Monday ~ Dec. 24, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home ~ Hyden, KY. with Rev. Alfred Smith and Paul Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Barger-Bentley Family Cemetery in Hyden, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: John Bentley, Hobie Cornett, C.J. Sebastian, Jr Cornett, Hobert Napier, Andrew Stidham and Dwayne Stevens. Visitation will be held on Sunday ~ Dec. 23, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home.
