Boggs born October 12, 1953 departed this life on April 23, 2008 at the age of 54 years, 6 months and 11days old. He was born at Yeaddiss, Kentucky the son of the late Nick Boggs and the late Mattie Pennington Boggs. By occupation he was a coal miner and was employed by Blue Diamond at Leatherwood, Kentucky. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and working with auto mechanics. He was a member of the Baker Fork Church of Christ and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his parents: Nick & Mattie Boggs; twin brothers: Ben & Forester Boggs; cousin & friend: Jimmy Adams. He leaves surviving the following relatives: Wife: Frances P. Boggs of Yeaddiss, KY. Two Sons: Anthony John Boggs & Regina of Bean Station, TN. Nicholas John Boggs of Yeaddiss, KY. Two Daughters: Rebecca Janell Jones & Kevin of Rutledge, TN. Tiffany Ryan Fugate of Hazard, KY. Two Brothers: James Boggs & Joyce of Yeaddiss, KY. Carl Boggs & Sandra of Yeaddiss, KY. Six Sisters: Shirley Lewis & Hurlin of Yeaddiss, KY. Lelia Caldwell & Boone of Yeaddiss, KY. Beulah Caldwell & Dale, Jr. of Yeaddiss, KY. Irene Boggs of Yeaddiss, KY. Gaylene Baker & Clayton of Yeaddiss, KY. Donna Kay Farler of Yeaddiss, KY. Ten Grandchildren: Alyssa, Anna, Kristie, Kelsey, Preston, Hunter, Destiney, Kyler, Ethan & Bryce. Special Niece: Rhonda Caldwell Boggs, Special Friends: Jerry Baker, Wendell Wooton & Finley Pennington Also survived by a host of treasured nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. John L. Boggs will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday - April 26, 2008 at the Big Fork Church of God with Rev. Clemmie Joseph and Rev. Don Kilburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Big Fork Cemetery at Yeaddiss, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Friday-April 25, 2008 at the Big Fork Church of God at Yeaddiss, Kentucky.
