The obituary of Mrs. Mollie M. Hensley Officiating Ministers Derek Baker, Barry Farris and James Hamblin Mrs. Mollie M. Hensley born May 23, 1923 departed this life on March 9, 2008 at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 15 days old. She was born at Hyden, Kentucky the daughter of the late Matt Asher and the late Nannie Maggard Asher. By occupation she was a homemaker and was a former employee of Wise Department Store, Meltons Florist & Gift Shop. Mollie was affiliated with the Laurel Chapel Christian Church and had been a resident of Laurel County for the past 22 years. She was preceded in death by her parents: Matt and Nannie Asher; two brothers: Kenneth & Marcus Asher; one sister: Edith Farmer; and one grandchild: Ashley Hunley, she leaves surviving the following relatives: Husband: Vellis Hensley of Corbin, KY Son: Vellis Hensley, Jr. & Wife Debbie of Hazard, KY Brother: Mason Asher & Wife Thelma of Louisville, KY. Sisters: Martha Howard & Husband Berlin of Indiana; Rosie Muncy of Indiana Eight Grandchildren: Colressa Maria Hunley, Vellis Craig Hensley, Ruth Vellisa Hensley, Nadine Marie Hensley, Allison Paige Hensley, Jacob Brendon Hensley. Jarrod Mason Hensley and Hannah Karley Rose Hensley, Seven Great Grandchildren and by a very special friend: Ivy Mosley and a host of other relatives and friends survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Mollie M. Hensley will be held at 2:00 p.m. "Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel at Hyden, KY. Visitation after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Jeff, Kentucky. The following will serve as pallbearers: Craig Hensley, Allen Hunley, Clifton Fee, Jr., Robert Asher, Hoy Douglas Simpson, Clellan Hensley and Jeff Hensley.
