Dale Campbell Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchie Asher born October 16, 1930 departed this life on August 1, 2008 at her residence - 4229 Dryhill Rd., Hyden, Ky. She was 77 years, 9 months, & 15 days old. Elizabeth was born at Talcum, (Knott Co.,) Ky., the daughter of the late Henry Ritchie & Sarah Smith. Elizabeth was a faithful member of the Church of God and enjoyed flower gardening and quilting as hobbies. She had been a resident of Leslie Co., for the past 57 years, residing at 4229 Dryhill, Rd.,Hyden, Ky., at the time of her death. Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchie Asher was preceded in death by her parents: Henry Ritchie & Sarah Smith Ritchie, one brother: Johnny Ritchie, & one sister: Eva Ritchie. Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchie Asher leaves the following relatives surviving: her husband of 57 years: Rev. John Asher of Hyden, Ky., one son: Randy Asher of Hyden, Ky., special nieces: Vickie Morgan, Sharon Brown, Betty Brown & daughter, Elizabeth Brown, and a host of other treasured nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends to mourn her death. The funeral for Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchie Asher will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday - August 5, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Collett, Rev. Logan Roberts, Rev. J.L. McIntosh, & Rev. Dale Campbell officiating. The interment will follow in the Hurricane Cemetery, Hyden, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff.
