Micky Roberts Mrs. Arra Irene Roberts born January 1, 1921 departed this life on April 3, 2009 at the Mercer County Hospital, Aledo, Illinois. She was 88 years, 3 months, & 2 days old. Arra Irene was born at Harlan Co., Kentucky, the daughter of the late Elihue & Elizabeth Howard Gross. Irene was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting & gardening as hobbies. Irene was a member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God, Stinnett, Ky. Mrs. Arra Irene Roberts was united in marriage to Mr. Hoy Roberts, September 1949 in Harlan Co., Ky. Mrs. Arra Irene Roberts was preceded in death by her parents: Elihue & Elizabeth Howard Gross, sister: Priscilla "Siller" Gross Stacy, Two brothers: Virgil Gross, Chester Gross,Two grandsons: Sean Paul Roberts & Joddy Hacker,One Step-Daughter: Mary Walls & One Step-Son: John C. Roberts. Mrs. Arra Irene Roberts leaves the following relatives surviving: devoted & loving husband: Hoy Roberts of Viola, Illinois, two daughters: Vanda Bowling of Viola, Illinois, Brenda Goodwin and Bill of Mtn View, Arkansas, two sons: Paul Roberts & Karen of Viola, Illinois, Phillip Mosley & Elease of Stinnett, Ky., five sisters: Mary Roberts and Robert of Stinnett, Ky., Martha Baker and John of Russell Co., Ky., Virgie Roberts and Dee of Stinnett, Ky., Carolyn Begley & Chad of Ohio, Helen Bowling and Woodrow of Illinois, one brother: William Gross and Amanda Jane of Tennessee, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great, great, grandchildren, and a host of other treasured relatives and friends to mourn her death. The funeral for Mrs. Arra Irene Roberts will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Stinnett Gap Church of God, Stinnett, Ky., with Rev. Geoffery Roberts & Rev. Micky Roberts officiating. The interment will follow in the Roberts Family Cemetery located at Stinnett, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. Friends may call for visitation after 6:00 p.m. - Monday - April 6, 2009 at the Stinnett Gap Church of God.
