Greg Whitaker Mrs. Ruby Ellen Campbell Wooton born on May 11, 1938 departed this life on April 23, 2010 at the age of 71 years. She was born at Dryhill, Kentucky the daughter of the late Douglas Campbell and the late Nora Sizemore Campbell. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Ruby enjoyed quilting, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Wooton Presbyterian Church at Wooton, KY. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents: Douglas and Nora Campbell, three brothers: Robert, Raymond and Logan, two sisters: Marie Woods and Betty Oliver. She leaves surviving the following relatives: loving and devoted husband: Bill Wooton of Wooton, KY, three sons: Kenneth Wooton of Wooton, KY, Errol Wooton & Glennia of Mayking, Ky, Paul Wooton of Wooton, Ky, two daughters: Margaret Wooton of Wooton, Ky and Joyce Combs & Roland of Wooton, KY, four brothers: Dick Campbell of Ft. McCoy, FL, Wallace Campbell of Berea, Ky, Russell Campbell of Wooton, KY and Carlos Campbell of North Vernon, IN, two special sisters: Eva Shepherd of Indianapolis, IN and Eula Masters of Waddy, KY and one special Aunt: Odette Melton of Wooton, KY. Ruby is also survived by 14 grandchildren: Kimberly Padget, Anthony Combs, Angela Wooton, Wendell Wooton, Johnny Baker, Rebecca Baker, Caitlin Baker, William Wooton, Kara Bowling, Darrell Wooton, Elizabeth Wooton, Damon Wooton, Sarah Wooton and Leah Combs, and 10 great grandchildren and a host of other treasured relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby Ellen Campbell Wooton will be conducted at 11:00 a.m, Monday-April 26, 2010 at the Wooton Presbyterian Church at Wooton, KY with Rev. Merle Caudill and Rev. Greg Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Melton Family Cemetery at Wooton, KY with the following pallbearers: Anthony Combs, Johnny Baker, Wendell Wooton, Darrell Wooton, Damon Wooton and William Wooton.
