Bobby was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. by occupation He was a retired coal miner. Bobby was an avid hunter & fisherman. Bobby J. Colwell was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son: Joseph Eli Matthew Colwell & 2 brothers: Elihu Colwell, Jr. & William Ray Colwell. He leaves the following relatives surviving: His wife: Mildred Sumner Colwell of Confluence, Ky., 4 daughters: Melissa Mullins & Sammy of McRoberts, Ky., & Diana Colwell & Scotty of Yeaddiss, Ky., Julie Colwell of Hazard, Ky., & Katina Colwell of Ohio, 1 son: Robert Scott Colwell & Diane of London, KY., 2 brothers: James Colwell of Busy, KY. & Estil Colwell of Hazard, Ky. 2 sisters: Eva Jean Hollinsworth of Ohio & Midie Belle Kidd of Ohio, 16 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Bobby J. Colwell will be conducted on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky. with Keith Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Colwell Cemetery at Busy, Ky. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel.
