Mrs. Sillar Ruth Barger

The Obituary of Mrs. Sillar Ruth Barger Officiating Minister: Rev. Teddy Couch Mrs. Sillar Ruth Barger was born on February 14, 1945 in Hyden, KY. and passed away on January 1, 2013 at her residence at 212 Woodson Branch Road in Hyden, KY. She was 67 years of age at the time of her passing. Ruth was the Daughter of the late George Sparks and the late Cornelia Wooton Sparks and the Wife of Eugene "Blue" Barger. By occupation Sillar was formerly a restaurant cook and also worked at Wal-Mart in the Bakery. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was of the Pentecostal Faith. Sillar enjoyed cooking, sewing, working in her flowers and crossword puzzles. Most importantly, she enjoyed being involved in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She was Preceded in Death by her: Parents: George Sparks & Cornelia Wooton Sparks; Son: David Eugene Barger; Brothers: James Henry Sparks and Boyd Edward Sparks. Sillar leaves the following relatives surviving: Loving & Devoted Husband: Eugene "Blue" Barger of Hyden, KY.; Son: Harrison Barger & Vickie of Hyden, KY.; Daughter: Brenda Lee Barger of Hyden, KY.; Brother: Johnny Douglas Sparks & Gracie of Hyden, KY.; Sisters: Hosea Lee Pullins & Eddie of Richmond, KY. and Carla Sue Sparks of Hyden, KY.; 12 Grandchildren and a host of Great Grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Sillar Ruth Barger will be conducted on Friday ~ January 4, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Rev. Teddy Couch officiating. Burial will follow in the Barger~Bentley Cemetery in Hyden, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Jason Fields, Josh Barger, Harrison Barger Jr., David Barger, Doug Begley, Dusty Sparks, Alan Pullins, John Sparks, Jonathan Maggard, Jamie Sparks and Benji Sparks.
