Charles Woods Mr. David Wayne Woods was born on June 20, 1964 and passed away on Sunday ~ June 3, 2012 at 143 Green Valley Drive ~ Sizerock, KY. at the age of 47 years. David was the Son of Mamie Young Woods and the late Clarence Woods and was the Husband of Marie Harris Woods. By occupation David was a Coal Miner being employed by Red Hawk Mining. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was affiliated with the Brutus Baptist Church. David enjoyed horse back riding, fishing, hunting, restoring old cars & gardening. David was Preceded in Death by: Father: Clarence Woods; Brother: Ronald; Sisters: Joyce and Darlene; Grandparents: John & Rachel Young and Pearl & Mary Woods; Special Uncle: Carl Woods. He leaves surviving the following relatives: Wife: Marie Harris Woods of Sizerock, KY.; Mother: Mamie Young Woods of Sizerock, KY.; Son: Byron David Woods of Sizerock, KY.; Brothers: Denver Woods & Charlene, Michael Woods and Twin Brother: Douglas Dwayne Woods & Teresa all of Sizerock, KY.; Sisters: Annie Thompson & Bill of Manchester, KY., Lois Woods of Bear Branch, KY., Linda Melton & Glenn of Sizerock, KY., Barbara Woods of London, KY. and Mary Gail Harris & Charles "Hoss" of Sizerock, KY; Uncles: Wade, Kenneth, Dennis & Ronald Young; Aunts: Pauline Abner and Fannie Henderson; A host of treasured nieces, nephews & cousins; Special Friends: Wallace Collins, Roger Dale Burns, Heath Hall & Willie Sizemore and many others. Funeral services for Mr. David Wayne Woods will be conducted on Thursday ~ June 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Sizerock Baptist Church with Rev. Teddy Couch, Rev. Bobby Wayne Couch, Rev. Kevin Napier & Rev. Charles Woods officiating. Burial will follow in the Woods, Allen & Ohmit Cemetery in Sizerock, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Greg Davidson, Dustin Woods, Bryant Harris, Ricky Woods, Allen Thompson, Leon Burns, Roger Lee Burns and Roger Dale Burns. The following will serve as Honorary Pallbearers: Clarence Cecil Fletcher, Luke Woods & Shiloh Campbell. Visitation will be on Tuesday ~ June 5, 2012 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home from 6:00-9:00 P.M. and at the Sizerock Baptist Church on Wednesday ~ June 6, 2012 beginning at 2:00 P.M.
