The Obituary for Mr. Garrette Begley Officiating Ministers: Pastor Sam Baer Mr. Garrette Begley was born on September 16, 1929 in Hyden, Kentucky the son of the late Henry & Ella Jones Begley. He passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, KY. at the age of 82 years, 6 months & 18 days. Garrette was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., by occupation he was a retired coal miner. Garrette was an avid UK basketball fan, avid farmer (enjoyed operating his tractor) also fishing & hunting. He was a member of the Grace Brethren Victory Mountain Chapel at Dryhill, Ky. Garrette Begley was preceded in death by his parents: Henry & Ella Jones Begley, first wife & mother of children: Hannah Collins Begley, one daughter: Linda Gail, one infant child, brothers: Oscar, Mason, Hetch, Hargis,George, Loy twin brother, Fred, & sisters: Laura, Margie, Ruth, Ruby & Suzanna. He leaves the following relatives surviving: wife: Deloris Ann Branham Begley of Hyden, Ky., three sons: Garrette Michael Begley & Mary of Inez, Ky., Larry Wayne Begley & Millie of Hyden,KY. & Lonnie James Begley of Hyden, KY., one daughter: Deborah Lynn Baker & Charles of Columbia, KY., two step-daughters: Kimberly K. Crum & Terrell of Inez, KY. & Andrea Booth & Shelby of Louisana, ten grandchildren: Michael Anthony Begley,Dion Shane Begley, Jennifer Begley, Joshua Begley, Kelly Begley, Jovina Slone, Heath Hollen, Vanna Begley, Lon Cameron Begley & Jordan Tyler Begley, thirteen great-grandchildren & six step-grandchildren also a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends survive. Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel, Hyden, Ky., with Pastor Sam Baer officiating. Burial will follow in the Henry & Ella Begley family cemetery at (Wilder Branch), Hyden, KY. The grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.
