Mr. Frank Howard was born on August 11, 1938 and departed this life on June 25, 2008 at the age of 69 years, 10 months, and 14 days. Frank was born in Cutshin, KY and resided in both Leslie and Laurel counties. He was the son of the late Joe Howard, Jr. and Mary Alice Turner. By occupation he was a retired coal miner working for Blue Diamond. Some of his hobbies included fishing, doing yard work, and going to church. He attended both the Mill Street Church of Christ in London, KY and the Polls Creek Church of Christ in Smilax, KY. He was preceded in death by his father: Joe Howard, Jr. He leaves surviving the following relatives: mother: Mary Alice Turner Howard of Morristown, TN; wife: Ruth Caldwell Howard of London, KY; two sons: Coy Howard of Hoskinston, KY and Gary Howard of London, KY; one stepdaughter: Debra Asher of Hyden, KY; two step sons: Buster Asher of Coon Creek, KY and Jeff Asher of Smilax, KY; one brother: Coy Lee Howard & Vickie of Morristown, TN; two sisters: Clara Ball & Robert of TX and Jan Pieper & Jerry of Morristown, TN; three grandsons: Joe, Blake, and Ryan Howard; one great-grandchild: Landon Blake Howard and five step grandchildren. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mr. Franklin D. Howard will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Day and Harold Turner officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008 at the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at the Morgan Family Cemetery in Hoskinston, KY under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff. The grandsons: Joe, Blake, and Ryan will serve as the pallbearers.
