Mr. Perkins was born in Whtley Co., Ky., the son of the late Joseph Perkins and the late Cora Lee Perkins. Jimmy served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Jimmy had been a resident of Hyden Manor Nursing Home, 21040 Hwy. 421 South, Hyden, Ky., since 2005. He leaves surviving a host of treasured & special friends at the Hyden Manor Nursing Home, Hyden, Ky. Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy Perkins will be held at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and continue up until time of the funeral. Burial will take place at the Barger Cemetery Elkhorn in Shoal, Confluence, KY under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home staff.
