She was residing at 679 Beech Bottom Rd. - Smilax, KY. Mary was the daughter of the late Floyd Maggard & the late Alice Cornett Maggard. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. She was affiliated with the Holiness Church and enjoyed Gardening. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Brothers: Jimmy & Cova Maggard; Sisters: Versie Day, Stella Joseph and Allie Landrum. Mary Maggard leaves the following relatives surviving: Daughter: Polly Alice Sizemore & Lige, Jr. of Smilax, KY.; Brother: Chris Maggard & Polly of Smilax, KY.; Sisters: Bessie Boggs of London, KY. and Dealie Cornett of London, KY.; Grandchildren: Steve Madden of Smilax, KY. and Samantha Hays & Wayne of Wooton, KY.; Great Granddaughter: Madelyn Hays. Funeral services for Mary Maggard will be conducted on Wednesday - March 16, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel - Hyden, KY. with Michael Joseph & Clemmie Joseph officiating. Burial will follow in the Maggard Family Cemetery at Beech Bottom - Smilax, KY. The following will serve as pallbearers: Cova Maggard, George Maggard, Wade Cornett, Carl Cornett, Steven Madden, George Begley & Wayne Hays.
