The Obituary of Mr. Bruce Darnell Collett Officiating Ministers: Rev. Denver Brock Mr. Bruce Darnell Collett was born on March 8, 1957 in Hyden, KY. and passed away on Wednesday ~ December 14, 2011 at Helton, KY. He was 54 years of age at the time of his passing. Bruce was the Son of Janice Lloyd Collett and the late Dewey Collett. Bruce served honorably in the U.S. Army. By occupation he was a Truck Driver (Gravel). and was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. Bruce enjoyed being involved in the lives of his children and was affiliated with the Christian Missionary Alliance. He was Preceded in Death by: Father: Dewey Collett; Half Brother: Cecil Collett; Sister-In-Law: Jackie Hensley Collett. Mr. Bruce Darnell Collett leaves the following relatives surviving: Mother: Janice Lloyd Collett of Asher, KY; Sons: Bruce "Bub" Darnell Fortworth Collett of Knoxville, TN and David Justin Collett of Letcher County, KY; Brothers: Montana Collett & Tammy of Tazewell, TN, Monroe Collett of Asher, KY, Dave Collett & Lorna of TN, Lanny Collett & Candy of Asher, KY and Mark Collett of Asher, KY; Sisters: Janet Hoskins & Derek of Asher, KY and Sandy Warrens & Jason of Martin, KY; Half Sister: Sheila Stephens & Danny of Bloomington, IN; Granddaughters: Rileigh Breanne Coke and Jayleigh Savannah Hubbs. There will be a Graveside Service for Mr. Bruce Darnell Collett on Saturday ~ Dec. 17, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Bowen's Creek Cemetery at Essie, KY. with Rev. Denver Brock officiating. Visitation will be on Friday ~ Dec. 16, 2011 at the Lower Middlefork Pentecostal Church from 6:00 P.M.- 12:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the Bowen's Creek Cemetery in Essie, KY. Military Rites will be performed by the Leslie County DAV Chapter #133 and Allen Central High School Junior ROTC. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Monroe Collett, Mark Collett, Montana Collett, Dave Collett, Lanny Collett, Bruce "Bub" Collett and David Collett.
