The Obituary for Mrs. Betty Melton Begley Officiating Ministers: Rev. Merle Caudill & Rev. Greg Whitaker Mrs. Betty Melton Begley was born on May 14, 1934 and passed away on December 28, 2010 at the Mary Breckinridge Hospital in Hyden, KY. She was the daughter of the late Roe Melton and the late Mary Nantz. Betty was residing at 52 Wooton Rd., Wooton, KY. at the time of her passing. She was 76 years of age. She was a retired employee of the Hyden Citizens Bank having worked there for 56 years. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. She enjoyed her work at the bank and being involved in the lives of her family. She was preceded in death by: her Parents; her Husband of 41 years: Bobby Lane Begley; Brothers: Jody, Hyden, Tom, Gordon and William Henry; Sisters: Nette Couch, Eva Cornett, Lillian Laymon and Sally Wooton. Mrs. Betty Melton Begley leaves the following relatvies surviving: Daughter: Elaine Brewer & Ray of Wooton, KY.; Brothers: Edgar Melton of Wooton, KY. and Clayton Eugene Melton & Shirley of Warren, MI.; Grandson: Robert Brewer of Hyden, KY.; Grand dog: Eunice; Special Nephew: Brent Morgan; Best Friend: Nancy Steele; Several treasured nieces & nephews; Betty also considered the employees of the Hyden Citizens Bank whom she worked with through the years as family. Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Melton Begley will conducted on Friday - December 31, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Merle Caudill and Rev. Greg Whitaker officiating. Burial will follow the funeral services at the Brewer Cemetery at Wooton, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Ritchie Miller, Ralph Lewis, Brent Morgan, Shawn Garrison, Robbie Horton, Gary Brewer, Jonathan Morgan, Ken Dean, Jeff Campbell and Kelly Campbell.
