She was born at Beverly, Kentucky the daughter of the late John Berry gross and the late Hettie Collett Gross. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Alice was a member of the Middlefork United Methodist Church at Helton, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents: John & Hettie Gross; two sisters: Ethel and Phoebee; three brothers: Jesse, Willie and Caleb. She leaves surviving the following relatives: husband: Larry Caldwell, one son: Matthew Caldwell of Helton, KY; one daughter: Jessica Caldwell of Helton, KY; three brothers: Claymon Gross, John Gross and Howard Gross; one grandchild: Hunter Caldwell, special friend: Amanda Gross. Alice also leaves surviving a host of other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing. Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Mary Faye Gross Caldwell will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday-September 5, 2008 at the Middlefork United Methodist Church at Helton, Kentucky with Reed Brock officiating. Burial will follow in the John Berry Gross Cemetery at Helton, Kentucky under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff.
