Billy Joe Lewis Mr. Johnny Joseph, Jr. was born on November 2, 1934 and departed this life on August 11, 2009. He was 74 years, 9 months and 9 days old. He was the son of the late Johnny Joseph and the late Matilda Boggs Joseph. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a retired coal miner. Some of his hobbies included: sports, four-wheeling and gardening. He was a member of the Big Fork Church of God in Yeaddiss, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents;one son: Johnny "Almond" Joseph, III, three brothers: Lee Joseph, Bill Joseph and Giles Joseph; three sisters: Polly Childers, Alice Day and Lizzie Strunk. He leaves surviving the following relatives: wife: Marie Joseph of Yeaddiss, KY.; two sons: Eddie Joseph & Lois of Hazard, KY. and Jerry Joseph of Hazard, KY.; one daughter: Angela Baker & Wade of Yeaddiss, KY.; one brother: Dillard Joseph of Yeaddiss, KY.; one sister: Martha Lewis of Dion, KY.; six grandchildren: Rachel Joseph, Shawn Baker, Shane Collett, Beth Baker, Joshua Joseph, and Jessica Joseph; two special great-grandchildren: Taylor Joseph and Dawson Baker; seven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Johnny "Almond" Joseph, Jr. will be held on Friday, August 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Big Fork Church of God (Big Fork)in Yeaddiss, KY. Visitation will begin Thursday, August 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place at the Lewis Family Cemetery in Yeaddiss, KY following the funeral service.
