The obituary of Mrs. Sarah Bowling Morgan Officiating Ministers: Rev. John Pugh, Rev. Fred Collett, Rev. Larry Thomas and others Mrs. Sarah Bowling Morgan born April 30, 1922 departed this life on September 26, 2008 at the age of 86 years, 4 months and 27 days old. She was born at Stinking Creek in Knox County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Bristo Bowling and the late Lillie Mills Bowling. By occupation she was a homemaker and had been a life-long resident of Leslie County, Kentucky. Sarah enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal church at Essie, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her parents: Bristol and Lillie Bowling, husband: Johnnie Morgan; two sons: Fred and Cornelius Morgan. She leaves surviving the following relatives: three sons: David Morgan & Fern of Corbin, KY, J.C. Morgan & Jean of Essie, KY, Alex Richard Morgan & Marlene of Essie, KY, five daughters: Virginia Lee Whitehead of Essie, KY, Phronia Hanselman & Tom of Riverside, OH, Laverne Amos of Hyden, KY, Ruby Crews & Dave of Dayton, OH, Juanita North & Wilburn of Essie, KY, one brother: Bill Bowling of London, KY. Sarah is also survived by 38 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren and other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Bowling Morgan will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday- September 29, 2008 at the Upper Grassy Pentecostal Church at Essie, KY with Rev. John Pugh, Rev Fred Collett, Rev. Larry Thomas, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Albert Morgan Cemetery at Essie, KY. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. Sunday - September 28, 2008 at the church.
