The Obituary of Mrs. Maude Combs Maggard Officiating Minister: Rev. Billy Joe Lewis Mrs. Maude Combs Maggard was born on November 4, 1931 and passed away on September 23, 2011 at her residence at 295 Bige Lewis Lane ~ Smilax, KY. at the age of 79 years. Maude was born in Letcher County, Kentucky and was the Daughter of the late Henry R.S. Combs and the late Flora Caudill Combs. She was the Wife of the late Odean Maggard. Maude was a Retired Cook, employed by Leslie County Board of Education (Hayes Lewis Elementary). She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and enjoyed sewing, canning, flowers & gardening. She was a Member of the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ ~ Smilax, KY. She was Preceded in Death by: Parents: Henry R.S. & Flora Combs; Husband: Odean Maggard; Sons: Larry Odean Maggard, Jimmy Darrell Maggard and Freddie Wayne Maggard; Granddaughter: Julie Dawn Maggard and A Host of Brothers, Sisters, Nieces & Nephews. Mrs. Maude Combs Maggard leaves the following relatives surviving: Sons: Danny Maggard & Frances of Stinnett, KY., Jerry Maggard & Gina of Louisville, KY., Gary Maggard & Sherry of Stinnett, KY. and Terry Maggard of Hyden, KY.; Daughters: Loretta Hughes & Jay of Hazard, KY. and Brenda Maggard of London, KY.; Brothers: Rayburn Combs & Sandra of Upton, KY. and John Combs of Louisville, KY.; Special Nephew: Larry Kiser & Billie; 24 Grandchildren; 26 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild to be born. Funeral services for Mrs. Maude Combs Maggard will be conducted on Monday ~ September 26, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Full Gospel Church of Jesus Christ ~ Smilax, KY. with Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis & Maggard Family Cemetery in (Levi's Branch) Smilax, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Roger Maggard, Danny Maggard, Larry Wayne Maggard, Doug Begley, Brandon Bush, Billy Ray Roberts, Tony Roberts, Jimmy Roberts, James Lowe, Kyle Napier, Chad Maggard, Travis Maggard and Cody Maggard.
