The Obituary for Richard Joseph Couch Officiating Minister: Pastor Wayne Bowling Richard Joseph Couch, of 2545 Bull Creek Rd., Thousandsticks, KY., passed away at his residence on Tuesday, January 7, 2014, at the age of 51 years, 11 months & 11 days. Richard was born in Hyden, KY. on January 17, 1962 the son of Kermit Couch & the late Paulette Dodson. He was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. By occupation he was a former heavy equipment operator (strip mining). Richard was affliated with the Hyden Church of God at Hyden, KY. He enjoyed being involved in the lives of his children & grandchildren. Richard Joseph Couch was preceded in death by his mother: Paulette Dodson, paternal grandparents: Estill & Gladys Couch & one half-brother: Keith Couch. He leaves the following relatives surviving: father & step - mother: Kermit Couch & Betty Helen of Hyden, KY., wife: Virgie Asher Couch of Thousandsticks, KY., two sons: Steven Couch & Keisha of Thousandsticks, KY. & Christopher Couch & Brittany Curry of Thousandsticks, KY., one daughter: Lisa Couch & Arnold Coots of Thousandsticks, KY., two half-brothers: Kevin Couch & Timmy Smith, six half-sisters: Kathy Couch, Kim Couch, Bridgette Woods, Buffy Jones, Michelle Woods & Bobbi Joe Woods, one granddaughter: Samantha Marie Coots & a host of other relatives & friends also survive.
