Dallie Lewis Joseph

Mrs. Dallie Lewis Joseph, born July 3, 1924 departed this life on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky. She was 89 years of age at the time of her passing. Dallie was born at Sheep Branch at Yeaddiss, Ky. in a two room log cabin, the daughter of the late Steve Lewis & Cinda Blevins Lewis. Dallie spent her formative years in Leslie Co. & was united in marriage to Mr. Lee Joseph. They owned & operated the family grocery together in Big Fork & she was also a homemaker. Dallie had been a resident of Corbin, Ky. for the past 33 years having moved from Yeaddiss, Ky., where she had lived for 56 years. Dallie was a devoted member of the Eastside Church of God, Corbin, Ky. She enjoyed quilting, canning, gardening & most of all being involved in the lives of her family. Mrs. Dallie Lewis Joseph was preceded in death by her parents, her loving & beloved husband, Lee Joseph, one daughter: Josephine, and a host of brothers and sisters. Mrs. Dallie Lewis Joseph leaves the following relatives surviving: two daughters: Mae Combs of Hyden, Ky., Delphia Henderlight & husband, Philip Henderlight DMD. of Corbin, Ky., two sisters: Elizabeth Haskett of South Carolina, Martha Morgan of London, Ky.,six grandchildren: Greg Combs, Mike Williams and wife, Carolyn, Jeff Pennington, Rick Williams, Randall Combs, Joseph Pennington & wife, Christina, nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, & a host of other treasured relatives and friends. VISITATION: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 until funeral hour, at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel. FUNERAL: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randall Lee and Rev. Billy Joe Lewis officiating. INTERMENT: Lee Joseph Family Cemetery at Big Fork, Yeaddiss, Kentucky.
