Ralph Brown Mr. Curtis Lynn Howard born March 16, 1985 departed this life on September 26, 2008. He was 23 years, 6 months, and 10 days old. Curtis was born at Hyden, Ky., the son of Millard Howard & Lillie M. Napier Howard. Curtis was employed as a coal miner for James River Coal Co. at their the Beech Fork mine location. Curtis was affiliated with the Stinnett Pentecostal Church & was a life-long resident of Leslie Co. He enjoyed hunting & fishing as hobbies. Mr. Curtis Lynn Howard was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Cartis Napier. Mr. Curtis Lynn Howard leaves the following relatives surviving: parents: Millard Howard and Lillie Napier Howard of Stinnett, Ky., his companion: Keisha North of Stinnett, Ky., three brothers: John Michael Howard, Justin Ray Howard, Gregory Wayne Howard, all of Stinnett, Ky. Paternal grandparents: Raymond Bowling & Haley Asher of Hyden, Ky.,Millard & Phronia Caldwell of Warbranch, Ky., Maternal grandmother: Leola Napier of Hyden, Ky., Maternal aunts: Kathy Whitehead, Brenda Foster,maternal uncle: Gary Napier, Paternal aunts: Dorothy Caldwell, Freda Napier, Sandra K. Brock, Janice Lawson, & two paternal uncles: Theo Collett, Omus Collett, special cousins: Terry Wayne Whitehead, Michael Whitehead, Melissa Napier, Josh Napier, Natasha Howard, & special friend to whom Curtis was a mentor: Brent North, and a host of other treasured relatives and friends to mourn his death. The funeral service for Mr. Curtis Lynn Howard will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday - September 30, 2008 at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church with Rev. James Bowling, Jr., Rev. Fred Collett, and Rev. Ralph Brown officiating. The interment will follow in the Glady Branch Cemetery located at Stinnett, Ky., under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home. Friends may call for visitation at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church after 7:00 p.m. - Sunday - September 28, 2008, all day & evening Monday - Sept. 29, and until funeral time at 1:00 p.m. - Tuesday, all at the Stinnett Pentecostal Church.
