The Obituary of Mrs. Loretta Maggard Hughes Officiating Ministers: Danny Day & Harold Turner Mrs. Loretta Maggard Hughes was born on October 23, 1953 in Leslie County and departed this life on September 28, 2011 at the Hazard ARH Medical Center in Hazard, Ky. She was 57 years of age and was residing at Clearfork Rd. ~ Hazard, Ky at the time of her passing. Loretta was the daughter of the late Odean Maggard and Maude Combs Maggard. She was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and enjoyed tending her garden, planting flowers, fishing, cooking and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in Death by: Parents: Odean and Maude Combs Maggard; Brothers: Larry Odean Maggard, Jimmy Darrell Maggard and Freddie Wayne Maggard and Step-Son: Bryan Hughes. Mrs. Loretta Deborah Adams leaves the following relatives surviving: Husband: Jay Hughes; Sons: Billy Roberts & Tilda of Yeadiss, Ky., Tony Wayne Roberts & Dewonna of Wooton, Ky., & Jimmy Odean Roberts & Tonya of Harlan, Ky.; Brothers: Danny Maggard of Stinnett, Ky., Jerry Maggard of Louisville, Ky., Gary Maggard of Stinnett, Ky., & Terry Maggard of Hyden, Ky.; Sister: Brenda Maggard of London, Ky.; 4 Grandchildren: Billy Daniel Roberts, Krystana Roberts, Toni Nicole Roberts and Jimmy Roberts, Jr. & 5 Step-Grandchildren: Breanna, Austin, Cody, Tory & Payton. A host of family & friends also survive. Funeral services for Mrs. Loretta Maggard Hughes will be conducted on Friday - September 30, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Smilax Church of Christ with Danny Day & Harold Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Maggard~Lewis Cemetery in (Levis Branch) Smilax, Ky. Visitation will be on Thursday ~ September 29, 2011 from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at the church.
