Wayne Bowling Mr. Leslie Cornett was born on March 12, 1945 in Harlan, KY. and passed away on Thursday ~ November 3, 2011 at the Mary Breckinridge ARH in Hyden, KY. Leslie was residing at Wooton, KY. and was 66 years of age at the time of his passing. Leslie was the Son of the late Milburn Cornett and the late Loucretia Smith Cornett and was the Husband of Carolyn Edwards Cornett. By occupation Leslie was a Retired Coal Miner. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County. Leslie was an avid shooter and enjoyed shooting matches. He was Preceded in Death by his Parents: Milburn and Loucretia Smith Cornett; Brothers: Harold Glen Cornett and Homer Jr. Cornett. Leslie leaves the following relatives surviving: Wife: Carolyn Edwards Cornett of Wooton, KY.; Sons: Leslie Randolph Cornett of Wooton, KY. and Joshua Chase Cornett of Wooton, KY.; Daughters: Jennie Cornett Kilburn of Manchester, KY. and Shannon Asher & Scott of Hazard, KY.; Twin Brother: Harlan Cornett & Orphia of Slemp, KY.; Brothers: Johnny Cornett & Pam of London, KY., Burchelle Cornett & Angie of London, KY. and Roger Cornett & Debbie of Keavy, KY.; Sisters: Joyce Coots of London, KY., Dottie Sutton & John of London, KY., Janice Merrill & William of London, KY. and Janet Baker & David of London, KY.; Grandchildren: Brittany Collins, Jacob Maggard, Trenton Asher, Miranda Cornett and Tateton Asher; 4 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Leslie Cornett will be conducted on Saturday ~ November 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Bowling officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery at Big Rock, Yeaddiss, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Michael Brewer, Joshua Cornett, David Baker and Scott Asher, Ben Wooton, George Melton and Justin Joseph.
