The Obituary of Mr. Earl Roberts Officiating Ministers: Rev. Vernon Willard, Rev. Geoffrey Roberts, Rev. Eugene Roberts, Rev. Logan Roberts & Homer Collett, Jr. Mr. Earl Roberts was born on March 9, 1928 in Stinnett, KY. and passed away on June 17, 2012 at Mary Breckinridge ARH ~ Hyden, KY. He was residing at 360 Muncy's Creek Rd. ~ Stinnett, KY. and was 84 years of age at the time of his passing. Earl was the Son of the late Burley Roberts & the late Golda Smith and the Husband of Rowena Baker Roberts. By occupation he was a Logger and Retired Coal Miner. He was a lifelong resident of Leslie County and was a Member of the Stinnett Gap Church of God. Earl enjoyed gardening but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his children & grandchildren. Earl was Preceded in Death by his Parents: Burley & Golda Smith Roberts; Brothers: Henry, Homer and Ronald; Sister: Nora "Doll" Collett. He leaves the following relatives surviving: Wife: Rowena Baker Roberts of Stinnett, KY.; Sons: Vernon Couch & Rosetta, Earl Anthony "Bubby" Roberts & Linda, Donnie Wade Roberts & Linda, Gary Ray Roberts & Deborah and Scottie Cecil Roberts & Anita all of Stinnett, KY.; Daughters: Phyllis Morgan & Jerry of Somerset, KY. and Jennie Turner & Hobert of Hyden, KY.; Brothers: Donald Roberts & Kathleen of Stinnett, KY. and Clayborne Roberts & Zula of Cincinnati, OH.; Sisters: June Hoskins of Hyden, KY. and Geneva Garrett & James of Cincinnati, OH.; 21 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Earl Roberts will be conducted on Thursday ~ June 21, 2012 at Stinnett Gap Church of God at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Vernon Willard, Rev. Geoffrey Roberts, Rev. Eugene Roberts, Rev. Logan Roberts & Homer Collett, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Gary Roberts Garden View Cemetery ~ Stinnett, KY. The following will serve as Pallbearers: Stephen Morgan, Joey Turner, Travis Turner, Jody Roberts, Benjamin Wade Roberts, Donovan Roberts and Waylon Roberts.
