The Obituary For: Della Muncy Whitehead Officiating Minister: Pastor Steve Springer Della Muncy Whitehead was born on May 28, 1924 and passed away on August 12, 2009 at the age of 85 years, 2 months & 15 days. Della was born at Mozelle, Ky. She was the daughter of the late Bill & Sarah Howard Muncy. She was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., by occupation Della was a retired Custodian & Cook for the LKLP Office in Hyden, Hyden-Leslie Water Co. & Leslie Co. Board of Education. She was affiliated with the Lower Beechfork United Methodist Church at Mozelle, Ky. Della enjoyed sewing & quilting. Della Whitehead was preceded in death by her parents, 1 daughter: Wanda Sue Whitehead Collett & 6 brothers & 4 sisters. She leaves the following relatives surviving: 2 sons: Carson & Bobbie Jean Whitehead of Helton, Ky. & J.B. Whitehead of Mozelle, Ky., 1 daughter: Linda Adams & Doug of Hyden, Ky.,12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren & 4 great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by a host of other relatives & friends. Funeral Service for Della Muncy Whitehead will be conducted by the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, Ky. on Saturday, August 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Lower Beechfork United Methodist Church at Mozelle, Ky., with Pastor Steve Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the Mosley Cemetery at Mozelle, Ky. with the following serving as pallbearers: David Miniard, Ronnie Whitaker, Johnny Collett, Jr. Collett, Anthony Adams, Tobey Adams, Harvey Dean Muncy, Robert Whitehead & Michael Whitehead.
