Eugene "Friday" Roberts Cecil Elvis Collett was born on May 8, 1949,in Harlan, Kentucky the son of Bessie Collett Rice & the late Dewey Collett. He passed away on August 31, 2010 at the St. Joseph of London Hospital in London Kentucky at the age of 61 years, 3 months & 23 days. Cecil was a life-long resident of Leslie Co., He was aVeteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Upper Grassy Branch Pentecostal Church at Essie, Ky. He enjoyed volunteer work. Cecil Elvis was preceded in death by his father: Dewey Collett, grandparents: Shelby & Martha Collett & brother: James Levi Smith He leaves the following relatives surviving: mother: Bessie Rice of Horsebranch, Ky.,2 sons: Cecil Todd Cameron Collett & Ashley of Helton, Ky. & Arizona Darren Dakota Collett of Warbranch, KY., mother of children: Vickie Woods Collett, 1 grandson: Aiden Todd Earl Collett & a grandchild on the way. Also a host of brothers & sisters survive along with a host of nieces & nephews. Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Dryfork Holiness Church at Warbranch, KY., with Rev. John Pugh & Rev. Eugene "Friday" Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowens Creek Cemetery at Essie, Ky. under the direction of the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home Staff. Military rites will be performed by the Leslie Co.
